Artist's statement
Every image that I put onto canvas comes from the sketchbooks I carry around with me every day; on the tube, at friends' houses, family gatherings, festivals, supermarkets, in the early morning and during late nights.
My work is about many things. It starts with a curiosity in the world around me and combines with a passion in investigating line, pattern and colour. I create works that study drawing, identity and use of paint, presenting the viewer with a place that I make my sanctuary.
